Dear ST. MARK Community,

It is with great sadness the Bishop announced on March 16th, All public Masses (including Sunday, Holy Day, and weekday Masses) are suspended immediately until further notice. All the Priests will be celebrating masses particularly and daily for all Parishioners and for the scheduled intentions of the day, as well for the relief and assistance to all affected in any way by COVID-19.

While we cannot attend Mass as a community, there are a number of options available to you including Bishop Burbidge’s celebration of Sunday Mass, live streaming from Our Lady of Hope in Potomac Falls every Sunday at 10:30am and other live-streaming Liturgies, praying at home with your family, praying the Rosary or a Novena, watching a Catholic channel like EWTN, reading Sacred Scripture together, reading books about the Saints…the list goes on.

All meetings, events including Stations of the Cross, and CONFIRMATION Liturgies are suspended; however, the Sacrament of PENANCE will still be offered at regular times, in addition to the “Light is ON” Sacrament of CONFESSION every Wednesday evening from 6:30-8pm. Confession will take place in the Chapel and we will have a staff member/volunteer in attendance to act as a ”porter”, to ensure social distancing is maintained while parishioners await their turn AND to sanitize the room properly.

Also available is Adoration. We ask that you be certain to keep the number of people to 10 or less at all times as was recommended by the White House and the CDC, especially with social distancing.

We appreciate your patience during these trying times and be assured of our Prayers for you, as always.
