Dec. 2 First Friday Eucharistic Adoration

Begin the ADVENT Season by spending some time in prayer with the Lord. Sign up on the board in the Narthex.

All are invited for a magical night of Christmas cheer!! Admission is free!

Dave was a musical prodigy as a child – beginning to play the cello at age 3 and performing on Broadway and at the Metropolitan Opera House by age 7. Dave trained as a classical cellist at the Juliard School and later graduated from Harvard University and the Juliard Doctoral Program. He is a virtuoso in many styles on piano and cello and has performed and recorded with a huge catalogue of artists from many different genres. He is known for the string orchestration on Coldplay’s ‘Viva La Vida’ and has been nominated for multiple Grammy’s – including just yesterday – nominated for Judy Collins new album ‘Spellbound’ on which he arranged and played all the strings as well as for Original Composition for his album ‘African Tales, Paquito D’Rivera’. In addition, he has recently recorded with Adele, U2, Philip Phillips, Taylor Swift, Evanescence, plus hundreds of other A list artists. He has collaborated with the New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet – and many others!

The concert will be followed by a short reception in the Activities Center. Dave is one of a kind – don’t miss this special night!!

Join us in the Church for a lovely evening of scripture and song followed by the blessing of the Narthex Creche. All are invited to join in the singing and listen to the scripture stories that remind us that God, in his love for us, sent his son to be one of us.

All families and friends are invited to participate! Please consider placing your family Crèches during the exhibit—it manifests the diversity of our parish while sharing the beauty of each collection! Plan on bringing your family to view and share in the full exhibit to see many Crèches from around the world.
You can be a part of the exhibit by dropping off your own crèche set on Saturday morning, January 7th, in the ST. MARK Cassidy Activities Center. Contact Kathy MacNabb, 703-938-4355, with any questions.
